I’m wondering if the dodgeball classes are filled yet and what is the registration deadline? Also, could you tell me what is involved in the Fit n Fun classes. Thank you.
Trina
Hi Trina,
Thank you for your comment.
The dodgeball class is not full yet, and the deadline for registration is September 15th or when the class reaches capacity.
The Fit n Fun class combines active games and different sports.
The main component of the class is active games. They are all-inclusive and are a way for children of all abilities to have fun while playing an array of running based games. An example of some games are british bulldogs, great wall of china, shark attack, stealing coconuts, asteroids, starwars, and many more.
The second component:
We do not just play the sport; we do activities that incorporate different skills in game form (Teaching Games for Understanding). Children are exposed to many different types of sport skills (dribbling a basketball/soccer ball, stick handling in hockey etc…) but in a way that is fun and does not feel like they are doing drills. Children are able to try many different sport skills in one class.

We have pushed back the date one week for registration and the beginning of classes. We wanted to be more accommodating to families trying to get back into their fall routines! The information on the website is up to date and correct.
For Sports Spectacular, I see Mondays are for 9-12 yrs, and Thursdays are for 5-7 yrs. Which Sports Spectacular does an 8 year old sign up for?
Thanks for the post Sheila,
For the Sports Spectacular classes it would depend on your child’s comfort level in a class setting with older or younger children. If they are comfortable with older kids and and have more experience with various sports I would suggest signing up for the older class.
I hope this clarifies! If you have anymore questions don’t hesitate to give us a call at 780-453-1266 or leave another comment.
